“Could the Bible Be Made Up?” A Child’s Question That Plants a Seed of Faith [Church in Me Kids Ministry]

When raising children in faith, you’ll sometimes hear questions that make you pause.
“Mom, what if the Bible was made up? We can’t even see God!”
In that moment, something powerful happens: a seed of faith is being planted.

📖 A Small Question in the Library

One day, a little girl named Dayn was reading a book of ancient myths at the library. She was fascinated by a story of a bear turning into a human. But as she closed the book, a thought crept in:
“This isn’t real… but what if the Bible is just a story someone made up?”

This kind of question is natural in a child’s spiritual journey. For parents, it’s not a threat to faith—it’s a perfect opportunity to plant the truth of God’s Word.

💡 A Mother’s Answer: Explaining Faith Through Love

Instead of giving a logical argument, Dayn’s mother chose to answer with relationship and love.

“Dayn, do you believe Mommy loves you? Even when you can’t see it, you can feel it, right?”
She continued,
“God loves us the same way. That’s why He sent Jesus. The Bible is where His love story is written.”

Her answer wasn’t just information—it was a confession of faith rooted in relationship.

📜 The Bible: Not a Myth, but the Living Word

The Bible isn’t a legend or fairy tale. It records God’s work in real human history.
The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus are supported by historical evidence, and they are still transforming lives today.

At Church in Me, we believe these moments at home are vital in passing down a living faith to the next generation.

🙏 Faith Holds On Even When We Cannot See

Hebrews 11:1 says:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Even when God is invisible to our eyes, He is alive and actively loving our families and children. Your child’s question isn’t something to fear—it can be the very starting point of the Gospel.

💒 Building Faith at Home with Church in Me

A child’s curiosity is a God-given doorway to teach His love.
At Church in Me, we pray for families to grow in faith together and for parents to become the first Gospel teachers in their homes.

“The best time to share the Gospel with your child is now.”
